Germany is becoming an increasingly popular destination for high-profile events and conferences. And it’s not just big cities like Hamburg, Berlin and Munich that are garnering attention. The Rhineland offers a multitude of attractive options for event and incentive concepts.

Bonn – FACTS 4 EMOTION’s Hometown: The former capital of Germany is situated directly on the beautiful Rhine and boasts breathtaking views along the shore. Bonn is a friendly, welcoming city with plenty of flair and a wide choice of attractive leisure activities.

Bonn is Museums. The Art and Exhibition Hall of the Federal Republic of Germany (“Bundeskunsthalle”) and the museum of post-war history “Haus der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland” are among the most visited museums in Germany.

Bonn is Zest for Life. The world-famous "Rheinische" Carnival is at home here. Pub culture is alive and well in Bonn. Culinary specialties from the Rhine region feature on the menus of many brewery pubs and restaurants. In Bonn, people drink Kölsch as well as Bönnsch – a beer brewed in Bonn.

Bonn is Culture, because Bonn is the birthplace of Ludwig van Beethoven. Once a year, the city of Bonn invites guests from all over the world to the international Beethoven Festival.

Bonn is Business. Its hotels and event locations make Bonn ideally suited to host corporate events, conferences and seminars. One of the available highlights for larger events is the former Plenary Chamber of the Bundestag, the German Parliament, which has been expanded into a state-of-the-art conference center.

Bonn is German History. Even after the government’s move to Berlin in 1999, many important buildings from Bonn’s time as the capital of Germany remain. The Villa Hammerschmidt is the Federal President’s official residence in Bonn, while the Palais Schaumburg serves as the Chancellor’s official seat in Bonn. The former Plenary Chamber of the Bundestag, the German Parliament, serves as an international conference center. The "Langer Eugen" used to be the parliament office building – now, it is the UN Campus, because Bonn is the German United Nations City. The Federal District stands as a symbol of the structural change from a location for politics to one focused on international business. A striking landmark of this development is the Post Tower, headquarters of postal service provider Deutsche Post DHL. With a height of 162.5 meters, it is the tallest office building in North Rhine-Westphalia. The Petersberg in the Siebengebirge has also been the setting for many political and historical events – as the seat of the Allied High Commission as well as the official guest house of the Federal Republic of Germany.
